Clyde Shavers is an American politician who has served as a Democratic member of the Washington House of Representatives from the 10th district since 2023.[1]

Career[edit]

Ahead of the November 2022 election against Republican incumbent Greg Gilday, Shavers was publicly accused by his father of inflating his military record and lying about being an attorney. Shavers acknowledged that he had not served as a submarine officer, and that he was not an attorney, despite that fact that he had described himself as one in a state disclosure filing.[2] Shavers eventually won the election by 211 votes.[3]
